Midfield duo join up

Central midfield duo Mahmoud Juma and Tom Maddison are the latest two players to link up with James Jepson’s Hinckley AFC squad.

The pair have agreed to join from Leicester Nirvana and Dunkirk respectively, and both have higher level pedigree having spent time at step four in recent years.

25-year-old Juma counts Quorn and Stamford among his former clubs, but spent last season in the United Counties League with Leicester Nirvana, for whom he played 37 times as the side finished 6th in their step five league.

Nicknamed ‘The Sergeant’ and described as a tough-tackling midfielder, Jepson says Juma will add steel to the core of the Hinckley side and provide protection for the defence.

Meanwhile, Maddison (27) was another who was a part of Dunkirk’s East Midlands Counties League title winning side last season and joins Steve Chaplin and Daryll Thomas in making the switch to AFC.

The former Lincoln United and Carlton Town midfielder also counts Kidsgrove Athletic and Loughborough Dynamo among his former clubs.

The duo take the number of players who have agreed to join or remain next season to nine as Jepson and John Ramshaw continue to shape their squad ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.

Remember, the best value way to catch Mahmoud, Tom and the rest of the squad in action next season is via a season ticket, offering a 20% discount on a match-by-match basis. Head to http://hinckleyafc.org.uk/index.php/first-team/tickets/ to download your season ticket form.
