Hinckley AFC’s reward for beating AFC Mansfield on Saturday is another home tie against Deeping Rangers.
Dale Belford’s men reached this stage courtesy of Luke Richards’ brace on Saturday, and now face a home clash against the Lincolnshire side in the third round.
Deeping are at this stage for only the third time in their history, reaching it thanks to a fine second half turnaround at Godmanchester Rovers on Saturday. They were 3-1 down at half time, but turned the game on its head to win 4-3 in stoppage time.
They currently sit third in the United Counties League Premier Division, three points behind leaders Newport Pagnell Town, and beat Hinckley’s league rivals Brocton in the FA Cup earlier this season on their way to a defeat to Kidderminster Harriers which was streamed live on BBC Sport.
Managed by Michael Goode, Deeping joined this season’s FA Vase in the first round proper, beating FC Bolsover before Saturday’s win over Godmanchester.
Meanwhile, AFC are at this stage for the second straight year, having reached the fifth round last term before defeat to Devon outfit Buckland Athletic.
The tie will take pace at St John’s Park on Saturday 2nd December, kick off 3pm.
