We have been informed by the FA and the Midland Football League that Ilkeston Town have been placed in the Midland League Division One for 2017-18.
The new club will replace the now defunct Ilkeston FC in the non-league pyramid. The Robins were relegated from the Evo-Stik League Premier Division last season and subsequently liquidated.
The placement means Division One will consist of 22 teams for the first time.
