Hinckley AFC players past and present are taking part in a tournament in Rugeley on Sunday in honour of Simon Blyth.
Organised by former Hinckley midfielder Asa Wright, the team will be competing in a tournament at Rugeley Rugby Club this weekend in honour of the club legend who passed away in January.
The team, named ‘AFC Simon Blyth’, will take to the pitch consisting of four current Hinckley players, with Lee Butler, Jack Hartopp, Isaac Cooper and Francino Francis all taking part.
They will be joined by Wright, recently departed winger Javia Roberts and former Hednesford Town and AFC Telford United defender Darren Campion.
The tournament starts at 10am at Rugeley Rugby Club, St Augustine’s Field, Station Road, Rugeley, WS15 2HG, and supporters are invited to go along and cheer the lads on to victory.
