Mark Parsons has stepped down from the Board of Directors and as Chairman of Hinckley AFC Juniors with immediate effect.
During his time as Chairman, Mark worked tirelessly to gain closer ties between the senior and junior set-ups at the club, and as a result of his endeavours the two are now closer than ever before.
The juniors will appoint their new Chairman at their AGM on 20th June, with the juniors Chairman automatically having a place on the senior team’s Board.
Hinckley AFC Chairman Steve Jelfs said: “We would like to thank Mark for his hard work during his time as Chairman and as a director for the senior club.
“We look forward to working with his successor and continuing Mark’s great work in making the club come together as One Community.”
The club can also confirm that Joy Jelfs has been co-opted onto the Board of Directors. Joy has always been in and around the club and negotiated the groundshare deal with Heather St John’s ahead of our first season.
Steve Jelfs said: “Joy has a great deal of commercial experience and tremendous drive. Coming onto the board helps formalise her contribution and makes it more transparent.
“I’m sure she will strengthen an increasingly strong management team.”
