Hinckley AFC will look to build on last week’s comprehensive win at Lichfield City when they face another away trip to a top six side this afternoon.
This time Bolehall Swifts are the opposition, and Carl Abbott’s side will be hoping for a repeat performance of last week when they dominated Lichfield throughout to move above them in the Midland League Division One table.
Bolehall are level on points with Lichfield having played a game more, and Swifts could move above AFC today if they inflict a first league defeat in three months on Abbo’s men.
Swifts are also arriving at the game off the back of an away win – they were victorious at Coventry Copsewood last week to return to winning ways after being beaten in a local derby by Atherstone Town the previous week.
In Dave Yonwin, Jordan Francis and player-manager Joe Obi, Bolehall haven’t had trouble finding the net this season. The latter two are both into double figures for the campaign, while Yonwin knows how to find the net having scored 25 times last season and 46 the year before.
Swifts have had more trouble keeping them out at the other end, having not kept a clean sheet in the league since the end of August, and will face an AFC side who have scored 27 goals in their last four league games.
In Ryan Seal, AFC have the Midland League’s top scorer and Abbo’s men have racked up 52 goals in just thirteen league games this season.
And with three clean sheets in their last four league games, Hinckley will be hoping for another shut out that will guarantee to extend their unbeaten run to eleven league games.
Bolehall play at Rene Road, Bolehall, Tamworth, Staffordshire, B77 3NN. The ground is situated just under two miles from the A5.
