After opening their league campaign with a draw on Saturday, Hinckley AFC will look to record their first win of 2016-17 against Stafford Town this evening.
In a match taking place at Stafford Rangers’ Marston Road ground, Hinckley will be hopeful of getting the wins column on the Midland League Division One table up and running at Stafford tonight.
If previous meetings between the sides are anything to go by, the game is sure to be an action packed one.
The previous four meetings between the sides have yielded no fewer than 31 goals. Hinckley have netted 24 of them and have won all four of the previous meetings between the sides, but they haven’t been without scares.
Both previous away games against Stafford have been won by the odd goal – a 4-3 win in December 2014 followed up by a game where AFC came from behind to win 3-2 twelve months later.
Stafford will also be hopeful of kickstarting their campaign after they were defeated 4-1 by Atherstone Town on the opening day.
Sam Agar once netted sixty goals in a season for Stafford, but he will line up against them this evening after two goals in his first two games of this season. He also bagged a treble against Stafford at the end of last season.
Stafford Rangers’ Marston Road ground is on Astonfields Road, Stafford, ST16 3UF.
