Match Preview: Leicester Road (h)
Two of the Midland League Division One’s most potent strike forces will go head to head this afternoon when Hinckley AFC take on Leicester Road at St John’s Park, kick off 3pm.
Today’s visitors have been strong going forward this season, scoring 46 goals in fourteen games to help them to third in the league table. Sixteen goals from James Hicks and eleven from Amarvir Sandhu have been the backbone of their attacking threats this year.
But the achievements of Hicks and Sandhu are bettered by Hinckley’s strike pair of Luke Richards and Marco Adaggio, who have scored 39 goals between them already this year and will be desperate to add to that tally this afternoon.
Carl Abbott’s side currently sit eighth in the league table after Tuesday’s battling draw with Littleton, but they have still played the joint fewest games in the division (12) and will move above Littleton with a victory today after their game at Racing Club Warwick was postponed.
Before today’s match, there will be a minute’s silence in memory of fifteen-year-old Kayleigh Haywood.
