Match Preview: Nuneaton Griff (a)
Tomorrow evening’s clash between Nuneaton Griff and Hinckley AFC at The Pingles Stadium, kick off 7-45pm, promises to be a fascinating encounter.
Between them, the two sides have scored almost 60 league goals this campaign in just 15 matches, with The Heartlanders having comfortably the most potent attack in the league.
Having scored 41 goals in nine matches, including a 10-0 hammering of Heather St John’s and a similarly high scoring win over Racing Club Warwick (9-1), Griff sit second in the Midland League Division One table behind Coventry United.
Their biggest threat has been striker Luke Shorthouse, but he has been ably supported by the likes of Aden Moore and Joshua Ruff. In fact, Shorthouse’s tally of eleven goals in all competitions this season is matched only by AFC’s Marco Adaggio.
Having played the fewest number of games of any side in the league, Hinckley currently sit in eighth but will move up to third with a three-goal win tomorrow as they look to make up ground on the sides above them.
Griff play at The Pingles Stadium, Avenue Road, Nuneaton, Warwickshire, CV11 4LX. The ground is located behind the Pingles Leisure Centre.
