Smith Joins AFC

Carl Abbott has reacted quickly to Isaac Cooper’s departure to Halesowen Town, filling the void at left back with the capture of Liam Smith.

The 22-year-old is equally comfortable at centre half, and joins from Rushall Olympic, for whom he featured prominently in the Northern Premier League Premier Division last season. An athletic and attacking full back, Liam is six feet tall and has also played for Tipton Town and Stourbridge.

He will join the rest of the squad at the first pre-season training session this Saturday as preparations step up a gear ahead of the 2015-16 campaign.
