February’s Player of the Month: The Nominees
Hinckley AFC’s Player of the Month vote is now up and running on our voting page, and to hep you decide we’ve reviewed how the nominees have done over the last month.
After only signing at the end of January, Danny Kavanagh has slotted into the right back position and made it his own, playing a crucial role in a back four that kept three clean sheets over the month. He also won the supporters’ Man of the Match against Coventry Copsewood.
Also playing crucial roles at the back were centre half pairing Dom Smith and Alex Morris. As well as making crucial interceptions to help protect their goalkeeper, Smith and Morris have chipped in with a goal apiece during February.
Rob Millington’s tireless work up front earns him a place on the list. He scored Hinckley’s first at Pelsall Villa, and unselfishly squared for Marco Adaggio to seal the win over Coventry Copsewood.
Justin Nisbett’s return to the side since the birth of his son Ethan has impressed his manager and supporters alike, and he was a key figure in the Jelson Homes Senior Cup Semi Final win over Barlestone St Giles, scoring the deciding goal, as well as setting up the opening goal at Lichfield.
The final nominee is Nathan Walker. The winner of the award in January, Walker continued his impressive run of with two goals and two assists from midfield, while his set piece delivery was a constant threat.
