Match Preview: Bolehall Swifts (h)
Hinckley AFC will take another break from league action this afternoon when they entertain Bolehall Swifts in the Les James Challenge Cup at St John’s Park, kick off 3pm.
It will be the first of two meetings between the sides in three days: the corresponding league fixture is played on Tuesday, also at St John’s Park.
Hinckley will hope to build on last week’s 5-2 win over Pilkington XXX, and manager Carl Abbott says the the cups are a priority for his team this season.
Hinckley are likely to include new signings Matt Gardner and Robbie Millington in their side for today’s game.
Gardner, a forward, signs from Sutton Coldfield, having previously played for the likes of Bedworth United, Coalville Town and Gresley. He came on as a second half substitute in The Ravens’ 2011 FA Vase Final defeat to Whitley Bay at Wembley.
Another forward, Millington joins from Market Drayton Town, and counts Shawbury United among his previous clubs.
