A central midfielder with vast experience in both the professional and semi-pro games, Neil MacKenzie signed for Hinckley AFC ahead of the 2015-16 season from Halesowen Town.
After making around 250 appearances in the Football League for the likes of Stoke City, Blackpool, Scunthorpe United and Notts County, he dropped into non-league and spent a couple of seasons with Tamworth.
Following his departure from The Lamb, he played for St Neots Town, Evesham United and Halesowen Town before linking up with Carl Abbott’s side.
Away from the game, he became the first professional footballer to appear on Channel 4’s ‘Countdown’ in 2008, winning five matches in a row before Finally being defeated in his sixth.
