Hinckley AFC’s final league game before Christmas sees Studley visit St John’s Park tomorrow, kick off 3pm.
Carl Abbott’s side will be looking to get back to winning ways in the Midland League First Division after their second league defeat of the season at Littleton last week saw them slip to fifth in the table.
Tomorrow, they will play host to a Studley side who are third from bottom, but have won two of their last three in all competitions and earlier this season won at second placed Atherstone Town.
And in Gareth Evans, they have recently signed a man who knows where the goal is – since arriving from Pershore Town he has netted nine times in seven games.
Keeping goals out at the other end has been more of a problem for The Bees though. Only basement side Southam United have conceded more goals than Studley’s 59 in 19 games.
And with Hinckley’s being the best strike force in the league and featuring 31-goal Ryan Seal, Carl Abbott’s side will be hoping of adding to the run that has seen them win the last three meetings between the sides.
The most recent of those was in April last year, when Seal and Sam Agar both hit trebles in a comprehensive 8-0 win.
