Match Preview: Pershore Town (h)
Hinckley AFC play the first of three games in five days tomorrow when Pershore Town visit St John’s Park, kick off 3pm.
Tuesday’s defeat against Pilkington XXX was the first in ten matches for Carl Abbott’s side, who will look to get back to winning ways ahead of the away trips to Heather St John’s (Easter Monday) and Lichfield City (Wednesday) which follow quickly.
And they will be hopeful of collecting all three points against a Pershore side who have picked up just one point from their last three games, but won four out of five before that.
The Worcestershire outfit have been difficult to beat on their travels of late, having lost just one of their last six in a run going back to early December. They currently lie 14th in the table, with 31 points from their 31 games, ten points clear of second bottom Heather St John’s.
And although only Daniel Ludlow has scored more than six goals for Pershore this season, they have netted ten times in their last four away games and will want to keep that impressive record going tomorrow.
Similarly, Hinckley have only failed to score in a home game once since August, so if recent form is anything to go by, goals are guaranteed.
Earlier this season, three quick fire goals in 19 minutes helped AFC to a comfortable 4-1 win at the King George V Stadium, with Luke Richards, Marco Adaggio, Nathan Walker and Ryan Seal finding the net. Abbo’s men also won both games between the sides last season, but both were tight games won by a one goal margin.
