Hinckley AFC are delighted to announce the return of goalkeeper Divin Emmanuel, as Ollie Bosworth takes a break from football.
Divin shared our Players’ Player of the Year award last season after a string of impressive performances in goal, playing in all bar one of our last 24 games of the campaign.
He left at the end of last season to join Coventry Sphinx, but has now made the decision to return to Hinckley and work under Chris Tullin and Adam Cooper.
Tullin said: “We are thrilled to welcome Divin back. Without doubt, he was one of the best goalkeepers in the league last season and we’re confident he will continue to show those qualities this year.
“His presence and shot-stopping ability are his biggest strengths, but he continues to develop into an outstanding goalkeeper, and we will be fully behind him as he continues that development.
“Signing a player of Divin’s calibre is another indication of how exciting the project we are building at Hinckley AFC is.
“We would also like to place on record our thanks to Coventry Sphinx for their support throughout the transfer.”
His return comes as Bosworth has decided to take a step back from playing. An ever present since the start of August, Bosworth made a number of smart saves and also showed his class with the ball at his feet but is now taking a break from football.
Tullin added: “I would like to personally place on record my thanks for the effort Boz has put in since I took over.
“Boz has been a huge presence in the dressing room and first and foremost he is an outstanding human being who I’m thankful I was able to spend some time with. He has conducted himself superbly both in terms of the games he has played and the way he has conducted himself.”
