Match Preview: Blackstones (h)

Hinckley AFC welcome Blackstones for their second home game in three days as a quick turnaround brings a Monday night game under the lights at Kirkby Road.

Hot on the heels of Saturday’s late defeat to Sherwood Colliery comes another home game, as AFC will aim to turn early leads from their last two games into points on the board.

The opposition

Blackstones were in FA Vase action on Saturday, as they also saw a half time lead wiped out to be knocked out by Division One outfit Pinxton on penalties following a 2-2 draw.

Having been promoted in 2025, Blackstones stabilised at step five last season with a 17th-placed finish and they’re one of a number of sides who have one win and two defeats to their name in the UCL North this time around.

They lost to fancied pair Clay Cross Town and Eastwood, but beat Aylestone Park 3-1 in between for their first win of the campaign. They were also knocked out of the FA Cup by Northampton Sileby Rangers.

Josh Sennett grabbed both their goals on Saturday and he has three for the season from their first five games.
