Last season’s treble-award winner Zach Tellyn is the first player to commit to remain with Hinckley AFC for the 2026/27 season.
After returning to the club in September, Tellyn was our leading scorer and second-highest appearance maker last season, scoring 15 goals in 35 games in all competitions and contributing a number of assists.
And that earned him wide recognition at our end-of-season presentation night as he picked up the Supporters’ Player of the Year, the Managers’ Player of the Year and a share of the Players’ Player award.
He’s now just four appearances shy of a half-century in red and blue, and has committed to remain at the club for our new venture in the United Counties Premier North.
Joint boss Adam Davies said: “We’re delighted to keep Zach with us for next season. He’s never really had the opportunity to properly settle down at a club, and we’re excited to help him do that here and continue to flourish.
“We know he majorly enjoyed himself last season, because he was trusted to do what he went on to do. We’ve set him a target of improving on those numbers this season, we and he believe he can do it and hopefully he can reward that support again this season.”
On staying with Hinckley for another season, Tellyn said: “It was an easy decision to stay for many reasons. The supporters, managers and the lads really pushed me on to a having a great season.
“I’m looking forward to playing in a new league this season with the ambition of helping to get us to that promotion.”
Welcome back, Zach!
