Hinckley AFC head into the final five games of the season looking to end on a high, starting with Saturday’s trip to Easington Sports.
A tough start to 2026 has seen AFC slip into the bottom half of the table but they have five more matches to pick up points and get back into the top 10 before mid-April.
In contrast to last season, they have picked up more points away than at home this term so will hope the grass pitch at Easington can help them rekindle some positive results.
And they will be boosted by the double-addition of Devonn O’Sullivan and Harrison Myring, who could both make debuts after joining from Coventry Sphinx and Heather St John’s respectively.
The opposition
Easington have had a weather-affected start to 2026 having only played six league games this calendar year, but going winless in their last five, coupled with Bugbrooke’s improved form, has seen them dragged back into a relegation battle.
Sports lost at home to Bugbrooke last week to mean that only one point now separates them from the bottom two, but both of those sides also have three games in hand on Yaxley, who sit two points ahead of Easington.
While most of their points have come away, five of their six wins have been on the road, their only home victory came through a stunning takedown of Nuneaton in October, when they beat the leaders 3-0.
They lost top scorer Josh Yeboah to Daventry Town in January and have only scored once in their last four league games, but Sam Lawrence was lively in the reverse fixture in September and is also into double figures for the season.

Easington play in red and white, so Hinckley will be in our purple away kit for this fixture.
