Match Preview: Leicester Nirvana (h)

Hinckley AFC face a fellow Leicestershire opponent for the final time this season with Leicester Nirvana visiting Kirkby Road on Saturday for a 3pm kick off.

Hinckley will want to reproduce the performance and result from their last home outing, when they put seven past GNG Oadby Town a fortnight ago.

But it promises to be an interesting encounter this time between two sides who go into the game level on points, just a month away from the end of the 2025/26 season.

The opposition

Leicester Nirvana were beaten 6-0 at Atherstone Town last weekend to bring an end to what had been an impressive run since the middle of November.

Prior to that loss to Sheepy Road, they’d won seven of their previous 11 games, losing only twice – against leaders Nuneaton and play-off chasing March.

They sit 12th – level on points with both Hinckley and Eynesbury in what looks an intriguing battle to finish in the top half. Hinckley won the reverse fixture at Hamilton Park in October and the corresponding match at Kirkby Road last season, when Brady Middleton scored a hat-trick, with Nirvana winning the meeting at the end of last season.

Lamar Parkes leads the way in front of goal for them with 11 while Tamar Clayton-Naute has nine.
