Alex Dean brought a wealth of defensive experience and leadership to the Hinckley AFC back line when he joined in January 2026.

Having played for Nuneaton Borough and Bedworth United, he is best known for over 300 appearances as a club legend at Coalville Town, where he was part of the side that came within a whisker of the National League North earlier this decade. He also featured for them in their FA Cup first round tie away to Charlton in 2022, and then re-joined them at step six earlier this season after their voluntary drop down the leagues.

Twin brother of former Nuneaton Borough captain and current Brackley Town skipper Gareth, Alex was sought by the management team during their time at Atherstone Town and they got their man this winter.
