After a 10-day break from match action, Hinckley AFC return to the United Counties Premier South looking to continue their impressive recent form with a county derby away at GNG Oadby Town on Tuesday.
Second in the six-match form table, behind only leaders Nuneaton in that time, Hinckley remain unbeaten in all competitions since the new management took over a month ago.
The last of those games saw AFC hit eight goals for the first time in two years against Easington Sports last weekend – and remarkably, they have had 12 different goalscorers in their last two games.
The opposition
Despite sitting bottom of the table with only one point so far, Oadby have been competitive in the majority of matches.
Of their eight league defeats, only Nuneaton and Newport Pagnell have beaten them by more than one goal and they would have taken points off both Coventry United and Aylestone Park were it not for stoppage-time winners.
And their confidence will have been boosted at the weekend by a first victory over step five opposition this season – a 2-1 away win at Skegness Town in the FA Vase that saw them reach the first round proper.
Stan Mugisha scored in that one for his sixth of the season, while Mario Mendez has five goals already too.
Key information
Hinckley will be in our purple away kit for this match.
Oadby play at the Riverside Ground, Braunstone Lane East, Leicester, LE3 2FD. This will be Hinckley’s first visit to this ground – last season’s away game was played at Lutterworth Town due to issues with the pitch at the Riverside Ground.
