Hinckley AFC have been handed a home tie against Aylestone Park in the first round of the United Counties League Cup.
Hinckley’s reward for penalty shoot-out win over Staveley Miners Welfare in the preliminary round is a second home meeting of the year with Aylestone, after last month’s thrilling 2-2 draw at Kirkby Road in the league.
Aylestone reached this stage with a 3-2 away win at fellow Premier South side Easington Sports – in which Aylestone were pegged back from 2-0 up before grabbing a last gasp winner.
The tie will be played at Kirkby Road on the weekend of Saturday 4th October, or in the midweeks either side of that – with a confirmed date to be announced in due course.
