The Midland Football League have confirmed details for this season’s promotion play-offs.
The semi-finals will take place in midweek, in the week commencing Monday 1st May. Should we finish second or third in the table, then our semi-final will be at Kirkby Road on Monday 1st. Should we finish fourth or fifth, it will be away on whichever day of the week the home club has allocated.
The two semi-final winners will then face off in the final on Saturday 6th May, with the winners earning a place at step five next season.
As was the case last season, the team finishing second will be at home to the team finishing fifth in the semi-finals, with third hosting fourth. The final will be at the ground of whichever finalist finished higher in the table.
Should the match finish level after 90 minutes, the match will be decided by a penalty shoot-out. The authorities have ruled there will be no extra time.
Net gate receipts will be split 50/50 between the two participating clubs, with the League opting not to take a percentage of the profits and instead benefitting the four teams involved.
