After three straight home games, Hinckley AFC head back on the road and will look to extend their winning run to seven at Wolves Sporting on Saturday.
Hinckley banished their away woes with authoritative back-to-back wins at Stapenhill and Cradley Town among those seven, to pick up their first victories of the season away from Kirkby Road.
That run has seen Joe Conneely’s men climb to sixth in the table and now they visit the side directly below them looking to make further ground on the play-off spots.
Indeed, AFC will move into the top five if they avoid defeat, with fifth-placed Coton Green in cup action this weekend.
The same is true for Wolves Sporting who will be playing their first league game for a fortnight. Their rise up the table has come thanks to a run of one defeat in six, and included a comprehensive 4-1 win over second-placed Bilston Town. They have also taken points from Ashby Ivanhoe, in third.
Jay Sangha is their leading scorer with five but it’s in midfield and at the back where Hinckley will see some recognisable names. Mitchell Tomlinson now plays for them having appeared more than 100 times in the red and blue of Hinckley, while Nathan Walker (66 games for AFC) is their captain in midfield and Sam Reuben (ten matches for Hinckley) also plays there.
Wolves Sporting play at Pride Park, Hazel Lane, Great Wyrley, Staffordshire, WS6 6AA.
