Nisbett Delighted with Late Winner
Hinckley AFC winger Justin Nisbett spoke of his delight after scoring the only goal of the game in his side’s 1-0 victory at Coventry Copsewood.
After coming on as a late substitute, Nisbett’s perfectly executed volley gave Hinckley the three points, and the former Kidderminster Harriers player reflected on the goal after the game. He said: ‘I was on the bench, and I could see the game drawing out a little bit.
‘As I was coming on, I asked the linesman how long was left, he told me fifteen minutes, and Abbo said to “just try get what you can get.”
‘The corner came in, and I’ve seen it and thought “I’m just going to go for it”. It’s not very often that the ball comes across to you like that, and I took a beautiful strike at it and it paid off with the winning goal.’
Nisbett hopes to return to the starting eleven against Littleton next week, and says that even when he isn’t playing he thinks about how he could influence the game when he comes on.
‘Nobody likes being on the bench, but when you are there you study your man and work out the positions that he could be in.
‘Obviously, when you get on the pitch, you try and execute something, and that’s what I managed to do today.’
