Match Preview: Studley (h)
Hinckley AFC will come up against two familiar faces when they entertain Studley at St John’s Park tomorrow afternoon, kick off 3pm.
The Warwickshire side currently lie tenth in the league table after a midweek win over Lichfield City, and have former Hinckley players Matt Bailey and Sean Williams in their ranks.
The duo scored a league goal apiece during their time at Hinckley before moving to ‘The Bees’, who have won three of their five matches under new boss Adrian Mander.
Their only defeat was a 4-2 reverse against Racing Club Warwick, who beat Hinckley 2-1 at Townsend Meadow last weekend.
As a result, Hinckley are currently sixteenth in the Midland League First Division, which manager Carl Abbott feels isn’t a fair reflection on their performances in games.
Speaking after last week’s match, he said: ‘We are not only competing in games, but dominating them.
‘Anybody who is not at games will have no grasp of our situation. The results do, of course, look appalling, but our performances have deserved so much more.’
