After a weekend break, Hinckley AFC return to league action tonight when they travel to Townsend Meadow to take on Racing Club Warwick, kick off 7-45pm.
Carl Abbott’s side won each of their last three before their Saturday off, and will hope to extend that run to four straight wins with victory over the sixth-placed Racers tonight.
Warwick did play on Saturday, returning to form with a 3-1 win over Stafford Town having lost three of their previous four. That run of one point from four games damaged their hopes of a top four place, but they will want to get them back on track this evening with a win over a Hinckley who currently occupy fourth.
AFC will jump above Leicester Road and into third with a win tonight, with three points putting them just two behind second placed Atherstone Town with three games in hand.
Wade Malley and Jamie Smith have been Racing Club’s most potent threats going forward this season, netting 37 times between them, while Hinckley skipper Ryan Seal has netted that many times on his own and has been well supported by Sam Agar with 16.
Only the top four sides have scored more goals than Racing Club this year, and with Hinckley the top scorers in the league it promises to be a cracker.
Racing Club Warwick play at Townsend Meadow, Hampton Road, Warwick, CV34 6JP.
