Management’s late October update

The latest of our management team updates comes with two matches left of our busy October schedule.

Firstly, as ever, a huge thank you to the brilliant support home and away this week.

We are navigating a frustrating period at the moment. Performances against Lutterworth and Leicester Nirvana were good in patches, we are attacking well with intent and scoring goals, but we need to keep the ball out of the net at the other end, or winning games becomes difficult as we are regularly chasing.

Equally we are navigating a heavy injury and unavailability challenge, with Zaki, Chandler, Caleb, Keelan, Ky and Sando all injured, and Perry unavailable due to personal circumstances for the foreseeable future.

Equally it is pleasing that Jake Tullin, Prince Ogbe have stepped up seamlessly, Carl O’Neill and Henley Hadley are back fit and we have signed Caiden Robinson and Charlie Williams who are exciting talents.

We had an average age of 22 for the Lutterworth game. We are a young side still learning, but we need to learn quickly, as this league is competitive and unforgiving.

However, we move onwards and progress is the priority. The lads are as deflated as anyone after a loss, the key is being able to put it behind you quickly with the learnings taken, and enjoy the next game without feeling unnecessary pressure which can affect your mindset and performance.

That is what we will focus on, and we will be winning on a regular basis as the season continues, because we believe that is what we are as a team, and we believe in our players.

Ross, Adam and Chris
