Hinckley AFC will seek back-to-back home wins when Easington Sports visit Kirkby Road on Saturday.
Fresh from a convincing 4-1 win over Bugbrooke St Michaels on Monday, the best yet under the new management team, Hinckley sit eighth in the table and could move further up the early-season ladder by beating Easington.
The new era has started with five games unbeaten, which Ross Innes, Adam Davies and Chris Tullin will hope has become six by 5pm on Saturday – and they could hand a debut to new addition Perry Cotton after his signing from Sutton United.
The opposition
Easington haven’t had it easy in the opening stages of the season, with the loss of a number of key players over the summer.
One of them, long-serving Luke Swann, has just returned this week to provide a boost to a side that have lost four of their last five games, including conceding six against Northampton ON Chenecks on Tuesday.
Prior to that, they came from 2-0 down against Aylestone Park in the League Cup last week but were beaten by a stoppage-time winner, while they also came from behind to draw with Oadby Town.
Their only win so far was away to Bugbrooke St Michaels, which means they sit outside the bottom two – two points above Bugbrooke and five above Oadby.
Easington had the better of the two meetings last season – drawing 1-1 in Leicestershire in August before a 2-0 win at their Addison Road home shortly before the end of the season.
