Hinckley AFC continued preparations for the new season with a 2-1 away victory at Midland League Division One side Chelmsley Town.
The start of a busy week for Hinckley saw them win at Pack Meadow to make it two wins in a row as Joe Conneely’s side continue building towards 26th July.
Hinckley took the lead seven minutes before the end of the first half, when Sam Lockley’s well-struck free-kick squirmed under the ‘keeper.
But Chelmsley equalised with 15 minutes to play when wide man Dylan Pahile cut in from the left and fired past Divin Emmanuel.
Matt Dawson’s first goal since returning to the club earned AFC the win, latching onto Zaki Evans’ pass and rifling into the roof of the net on the angle.
With matches still coming thick and fast, Thursday sees a trip to step three new boys Quorn before an away day at Skegness Town on Saturday.
