Hinckley AFC hit six for the third pre-season friendly running as they ran out comprehensive winners at Sutton United.
Hinckley added to away wins at Lichfield City and Chelsmley Town with another strong showing at last season’s league rivals, in which six different scorers found the net.
AFC were on the back foot in the early stages as Sutton started brightly, but once Jack Edwards set up Elliott Pratt for the opener, they never looked back.
Hinckley were much more composed once they scored, and went close through Zaki Evans and Josh Beeson before Edwards’ cross-shot brought a second goal before half-time.
Lewis Rankin’s curler from the edge of the box made it three early in the second half, before Elliot Edwards grabbed his first of pre-season for the fourth.
And as Hinckley remained ruthless in the closing stages, Zach Tellyn made it five with another from the edge of the area, before Cody Faulkner rounded off the game with a sixth from close range.
That finished off another successful afternoon for Hinckley, who will face their biggest test of pre-season on Monday evening with the home friendly against step four outfit Rugby Town.
