Hinckley AFC’s pre-season campaign kicks off in just three weeks time with the Simon Blyth Memorial Trophy match at Heather St John’s.
The raffle and charity bucket collection will still take place at St John’s Park, although there will be no #Hinckley2Heather charity bike ride this year due to unavailability and injury to organisers.
With Marek Portland unavailable and Mark Langley having undergone recent knee surgery, neither could organise and take part and the ride will take a break this year with the view to returning in 2024.
Mark said: “It was a difficult decision, but having spoken with Marek we both can’t commit this year.
“We are already looking forward to its return next year for our annual friendly with Heather and those that have participated in previous rides know it’s a great day and very enjoyable.”
The raffle and bucket collection at the game will still raise money for local charities to benefit from generous donations on the day of our friendly in memory of Simon and Ray Baggott, who were influential in the founding of the club and sadly passed away in 2017 and 2019 respectively.
