Hinckley AFC’s final act of the regular league season sees a visit to Smethwick Rangers on Saturday afternoon.
Before next week’s play-offs and the League Cup final on 10th May, Hinckley have one last away day in Division One for this season with the trip to The Beeches.
The twice-postponed and once abandoned match is now on its fourth attempt at being played, after Hinckley led 1-0 when the game was abandoned due to floodlight failure two weeks ago.
And the game sees two sides guaranteed of their finishing position – neither can move up or down the league ahead of the final game.
Hinckley will stay third regardless of the result, while Smethwick beat second-placed Ashby Ivanhoe 1-0 in midweek to ensure they will finish the season in 17th.
That win, along with beating Hinckley earlier this term, shows they can match the sides towards the top and they have also taken points off Droitwich Spa this season. Adam Nazir is their leading scorer with 18.
Smethwick groundshare with Tividale at their The Beeches home, Packwood Rd, Tividale, Oldbury, West Midlands, B69 1UL.
Those supporters who were at the abandoned match, who gave their names to directors, will get free admission.
