Match Preview: Wednesfield (h)

Hinckley AFC play their final home game of the regular season with the visit of Wednesfield to Kirkby Road on Monday night.

A home league campaign that started on a swelteringly hot August afternoon against Stapenhill comes to a close, albeit with the possibility of a home play-off match to come.

And it ends against Wednesfield with Hinckley knowing a win would move them back up to second in the table.

Saturday’s entertaining draw with Bilston ended their 11-match winning run, but the unbeaten sequence remains ahead of the visit of another West Midlands side. AFC are two points behind Droitwich Spa with two games in hand.

Wednesfield, meanwhile, sit 13th with 45 points from their 38 games. They drew 2-2 with Coton Green on Saturday, having previously been edged out by Ashby Ivanhoe and Dudley Town. Former Hinckley man Dimitri Dunkley is their leading scorer with 14.
