Hinckley AFC start a run of five games in ten days to end the regular season with a visit to Smethwick Rangers on Thursday evening.
Hinckley’s penultimate away game of the regular season sees a visit to the West Midlands for the third attempt at getting this fixture played.
And Joe Conneely’s side will look to extend their impressive streaks, which reached 11 wins and six clean sheets in a row with Monday’s 4-0 win at Ingles.
That guaranteed AFC a place in the play-offs with a top five finish secured and they’ll want to keep that momentum going through the busy end-of-season run-in.
Smethwick also have five games in ten days, all of them at their The Beeches home which they share with Tividale.
They were leading Ashby Ivanhoe 1-0 when the match was abandoned last week, so they have to play that along with games against Chelmsley, Coventry Copsewood and Ingles before the 22nd April cut-off.
They have also won both of their last two completed home matches, against Wolves Sporting and Paget Rangers, to lift themselves two points clear of the relegation zone.
Prior to that, their last win came against Hinckley at Kirkby Road on November on a day where Hinckley hit the woodwork six times but were undone by two goals for Dylan Green.
That win, along with their leading of Ashby before the rain came, show they can match the sides towards the top – they have also taken points off Droitwich Spa this season. Adam Nazir is their leading scorer with 16.
Smethwick groundshare with Tividale at their The Beeches home, Packwood Rd, Tividale, Oldbury, West Midlands, B69 1UL.
