Hinckley AFC will look to move up to third in the table with a win at Smethwick Rangers on Tuesday evening.
AFC rose to fourth with Saturday’s win over Heath Hayes which was their fifth in a row in all competitions.
Now they could move up a further place with a win at a Smethwick side keen for points themselves at the other end of the table.
Manager Joe Conneely has urged his players to relish the busy end to the campaign. He said: “Embrace the challenge, enjoy being around an environment where playing under pressure is a privilege.
“This will be difficult for us against another team who are in a relegation scrap. They did a job on us at home, we hit the woodwork about 50 times and lost 3-0! We conceded twice in injury time chasing the game.
“We’ll have to mix it up, change things a bit and find a way to win a difficult game.”
Rangers were victorious at Kirkby Road in November but haven’t won since then to slip to 17th in the table and just a point above the relegation zone.
They have 27 points from their 31 games, and were beaten 4-1 by Coventry Copsewood in their last outing two and a half weeks ago in which their goal was scored by leading scorer Adam Nazir for his 14th of the season.
