Hinckley AFC make a first ever visit to AFC Bridgnorth knowing they’ll need to back up Monday’s eyecatching 9-0 win to keep up pace with the sides around them.
AFC moved into the play-off spots with a win over Droitwich Spa last week and cemented it by hitting nine against Coventry Copsewood on Monday evening.
With confidence high after three straight wins against top-half sides, now Joe Conneely takes his side on one of the longer journeys of the season to Bridgnorth.
The hosts tomorrow sit 17th in the table, with 21 points from their 22 games so far. They have notched up six league wins and three draws, including winning 2-1 away to Ingles last week. Four of their six wins have come at their Crown Meadow home.
Their last two home league games have been against the top two – Dudley Town and Ashby Ivanhoe – and they have lost both by only the odd goal. They played more than an hour against Ashby with ten men but held out until the second half.
Of all sides in the bottom eight, they have the second best defensive record, while nine-goal Craig Knowles has been their leading marksman at the other end.
AFC Bridgnorth play at Crown Meadow, Innage Lane, Bridgnorth, Shropshire, WV16 4HL.
