Hinckley AFC will look to back up Saturday’s fine win over Cogenhoe United with another in the “bread and butter” of the league against Ingles on Monday night.
AFC progressed to the second round of the Vase with a fine win over higher level opposition at the weekend.
But now they return to league action and will look for a tenth home win on the bounce against Leicestershire rivals Ingles.
Manager Joe Conneely called the league the “bread and butter” for his side and wants to keep building on recent good form.
Ingles, like Hinckley, made the move West from the United Counties League over the summer and Conneely remembers their matches from last season. He said: “They were a threat. They’ll be difficult to play against, they’ll have a gameplan to make it hard for us. We’ve got to try and counter that.
“We need to keep winning game and this is a game in hand for us so we need to keep trying to pick up points in what will be a tough game.”
Ingles have four wins and three draws from their 15 games so far, and drew 1-1 at Nuneaton Griff on Saturday.
But among their four victories have been wins over Paget Rangers, OJM Black Country and Wolves Sporting, all of whom sit inside the top eight.
Benn Minshull, who had a two-game spell with Hinckley in 2018/19 under John Ramshaw, is their leading scorer with eight while Ben Tansley has five.
