Hinckley AFC Under 18s returned to winning ways with a 2-1 win at Aylestone Park.
A dominant first 60 minutes was enough to see the youngers earn their win as they stay top of the Eastern Division and inflict a first defeat of the season on their hosts, writes Lee Measom.
It took ten minutes in this one for the real chance, an over the top ball by Sweenie-Rowe found Kealey on the left, who cut inside and shot which took a deflection for a Hinckley corner.
Aylestone’s first chance came moments later, a good free-kick headed over in the box.
Some lovely football was being played between Sweenie-Rowe and Kealey and the latter caused even more problems, curling a shot which forced a good saved out of the hosts keeper.
Hinckley made this game their own at Aylestone but couldn’t break the deadlock. A couple of chances in the box led to Reuben Wade having the best shot on the edge of the box forcing yet another top save out the hosts keeper. That earned Hinckley a corner which caused another goal line scramble as AFC were having shot after shot but just couldn’t score.
A minute before half-time Aylestone pulled a few passes together, a good move in the centre found its way to the left but the winger’s shot flew over.
After the break, Hinckley stamped their authority and barely a minute of the second half had been played when they took the lead. The ball ended up with Kealey on the left who was running the show, he played a simple ball across the box for Clarke to finish coolly.
And they doubled that lead shortly after. A good pass from a Hinckley defender found Kealey on the left again, who cut inside and fired off a shot which the keeper got a hand on but couldn’t prevent Hinckley’s second of the game.
Minutes later, Aylestone had a goal back against the run of play. Their striker got through Hinckley’s defence and put it past Pearce.
But it turned out only a consolation as Hinckley held out to return to winning ways.
