Match Preview: Ingles (a)

Hinckley AFC could make it a club record ten wins in a row if they can beat Leicestershire rivals Ingles at The Dovecote on Wednesday.

AFC have won nine on the bounce for the second time this season, equalling a club record first set in 2015.

Now, they’ll aim to make it ten against county rivals Ingles and stay six points clear at the top.

Ingles started the season impressively – with two wins and two draws from their first four games. That included taking points off Harrowby United and Aylestone Park.

They also had an excellent October when they won four home games on the bounce, but have struggled since then losing 14 of their last 15 games.

They now sit four points above third bottom Blackstones, and have been boosted by three points from their cancelled game against Holwell Sports.

But despite their recent struggles for results they have been good defensively at home. Only the top six and Barrow Town have conceded fewer on their own patch.

But Hinckley, the league’s leading scorers away from home, will put that to the test as they go in search of another three points.

Ingles play at Shepshed Dynamo’s The Dovecote Ground, Butthole Lane, Shepshed, LE12 9BN. They advise supporters that there is no parking at the ground. Fans should park at the nearby Iveshead School or the church car park opposite Butthole Lane.
