Hinckley AFC will target a tenth home win in a row when another in-form side Barrow Town visit Kirkby Road on Tuesday evening.
AFC are on a club record run of nine home wins in a row and will look to make it double figures against Barrow.
Manager Courtney Belford said his side’s form at Kirkby Road has been exactly what he wanted. He said: “We were excited as a staff and players when knew it would be 3G, and said we were looking forward to getting on it. It suits us with the way we play.
“We’ve also got that routine of being able to play different styles on different pitches and we’ll need that at the moment with pitches not being great.”
Hinckley have already broken a club record for consecutive home wins but they face a tough task this week against a side who have won eight of their last 11 in Division One.
The Riversiders have been outstanding on their own patch too – they’ve won their last seven at home going back to October.
Their away form has been more patchy though – just one win on the road since August means they sit tenth in the table but they could jump up to eighth with a win at Kirkby Road.
Jordan Holmes, Tom Mangan and Nick Reeves are all in double figures for them in front of goal.
Hinckley could go three points clear at the top with a win – with 14 games still to play this season.
