Hinckley AFC have completed the signings of Coventry United pair Ben Vallance and Dom Alleyne.
Defender Vallance, who can play at centre back or on the left, has played a part in every season in United’s history. That included being part of their side promoted from the Midland League First Division five years ago.
He started all 14 of their matches this season before leaving the Butts Park Arena and played nearly 200 times for them overall.
Meanwhile, versatile Alleyne was a former vice captain with the Red and Greens and has recently returned from a serious injury.
He can play on the wing, at full back, in midfield or as a forward. He also counts Coventry Sphinx and Coventry Copsewood among his former clubs.
Manager Courtney Belford said: “Ben gives us a few more options in terms of shape. He’s naturally left footed and we needed another defender. He’s a massive signing for us. We’ve liked him for a few years. We tried to get him at the start of last season but he stayed at Coventry and he’ll be a good player for us.
“Dom has struggled with injuries but is fit now and can play anywhere really. He’s a real utility player and that will come in handy for us. He’s a great lad and real leader, one the fans will love and the lads will bounce off.
“They’re two players we couldn’t turn down once they became available.”
We’d also like to thank Coventry United for their assistance with the two transfers.
Welcome to the club, Ben and Dom!
