Hinckley AFC will target a fourth successive away league win with the visit to Clifton All Whites on Tuesday evening.
Saturday’s nailbiting end to an excellent display at Harrowby United marked a third win in a row on the road.
It was also the second game in a row in which four different goalscorers found the net.
That built on recent successes at Lutterworth Athletic and St Andrews, with AFC now five points off the play-off spots with games in hand on most sides above them.
Now, Courtney Belford takes his side to Nottinghamshire to face a Clifton side who sit fifth from bottom, but have seen an upturn in form over the last couple of weeks.
They have eight points this season but seven of them have come in the last three games. They drew 2-2 with Blackstones and then picked up their first two wins, beating West Bridgford 4-0 and then Borrowash Victoria 2-0.
Ex-Hinckley pair of goalkeeper George Warren and defender Matt Jelfs, who both featured for John Ramshaw’s young AFC side a couple of seasons ago, have both played for the Whites this season.
As has been the case a lot to start this season for Hinckley, the match will be the first time the two sides have ever met.
Clifton play at the Norman Archer Memorial Ground, Green Lane, Clifton, Nottingham, NG11 9AZ.
