Hinckley AFC make their longest trip of the season with tomorrow’s visit to Bourne Town looking to preserve their unbeaten start to the campaign.
AFC visit south Lincolnshire on the back of two consecutive clean sheets at St John’s Park.
Shut outs against Gedling Miners Welfare and Lutterworth Athletic mean the only goal they’ve conceded so far was in the last minute at Saffron Dynamo.
Tuesday’s goalless draw was, though, the first time AFC had failed to score in a league game since the pandemic started.
Tomorrow they visit a Bourne side who have also drawn two of their first three games, albeit with a defeat in the other.
They have scored two goals in each of their three away games but were held to a point by both Borrowash Victoria and Kimberley Miners Welfare. They also went down 4-2 away to Holwell Sports.
This their first home game of the new season, Bourne will be looking to kick off their home season with maximum points.
Like Hinckley, they have shared the goals out – only Nathan Bills has scored more than once so far with four others getting on the scoresheet.
Nicknamed The Wakes, they’re also under new management after the departure of the former Lincoln City winger Nathan Arnold in the spring.
Bourne play at Abbey Lawn, Abbey Road, Bourne, Lincolnshire, PE10 9EN. For those supporters not on the coach, car parking is on the main road adjacent to the ground.
