Four young Strachan Football Foundation graduates have extended their stays with Hinckley AFC into the coming season.
The four all gained first team opportunities last season and their potential is well-known to AFC assistant boss Joe Conneely and coach Ryan Conneely. Both coaches worked with them before bringing them to Hinckley last summer.
Tall centre back Ben Whitehead was part of the squad during the early stages of last season. Another year older, he has great potential and made five appearances last term during his first real season in men’s football.
Meanwhile, midfield duo Jack Edwards and Dan Hoskins will both be remaining with the club. They were the most regular Strachan graduates to feature last term playing ten and 11 times respectively. Combative Edwards also scored a vital opener away to Brocton while ball-playing Hoskins scored a pair of fine goals in the friendly win at Lichfield in May.
Versatile defensive player Nick Brandish also re-joins ahead of the new season. He played six times for the club last season and can feature at right back, centre back or in midfield.
They take the total number of players retained by the club to 12, with more to follow shortly.
