Hinckley AFC can now confirm which two charities this year’s #Hinckley2Heather bike ride will support.
Each year, the ride raises funds for two charities with noteworthy causes. One is chosen in memory of Simon Blyth, the other picked in memory of Ray Baggott.
The last ride in 2019 raised a record £1021, which was split equally between Macmillan Nurses and Hope Against Cancer.
This year’s charity for Ray was picked by his wife Debbie – and will be Mesothelioma UK. They provide support to mesothelioma patients and their families across the country.
Meanwhile, Simon’s charity will be Prostate Cancer UK. It was chosen by our friends at Heather St John’s – who we play for the Simon Blyth Memorial Trophy.
You can still sign up for the ride, which takes place on Saturday 17th July ahead of our match at Heather.
If you want to get involved, contact event organiser Marek Portland directly or email Hinckley AFC director Mark Langley on mark@hinckleyafc.co.uk.
