Hinckley AFC can announce that the FA’s Board of Appeal have upheld our appeal against the decision of the FA Leagues Committee to leave the club in the Midland Football League.
Our appeal was based on the fact that, when the step pyramid restructure was announced, a number of teams were moved away from Midland Football League Division One and replaced by teams from the West Midlands (Regional) League.
This fundamentally changed the geographical make-up of the Division and would have greatly increased time travelling to away matches.
We’d like to make it clear that our appeal does not reflect on the Midland Football League, its officers or any of the new clubs that have joined from the West Midlands Regional League. It is based wholly the geographical changes that were made.
We now await confirmation of which league we will be allocated to.
