Hinckley AFC are pleased to confirm the signing of former league winning defender Niall Rowe and fellow centre back Ben Kendrick.
Rowe, right, a centre back who can also play on the left side of defence, was part of the Heather St John’s side that won Division One last season as he featured 13 times for the Saints after joining towards the end of the season.
Like many of the Heather squad, he followed boss Simon Lyons to Romulus this summer and played 12 times for their promotion-chasing Premier Division side until Courtney Belford lured him to Hinckley.
He also counts Atherstone Town and Coventry United among his former clubs.
“He’s a big signing for us. He’s a leader who knows the level very well, and that’s exactly what we need.
“He’s an experienced centre half and he wants to stay more local now after his personal circumstances changed. We’re delighted to have him.
Another centre back, young defender Ben Kendrick, right, has also joined from Coventry United.
Formerly of the Walsall academy, he has also featured in the youth system at Solihull Moors and Belford describes him as “a good young prospect.”
Welcome to the club, Niall and Ben!
