Hinckley AFC go in search of a third win in a week when county rivals Ashby Ivanhoe visit the Welfare Ground tomorrow.
After beating Paget Rangers and Chelmsley Town without conceding a goal last week, Courtney Belford’s side want to extend their perfect home record against one of the league’s new sides.
It’s the first of a Bank Holiday double header at the Welfare Ground, with Stapenhill the visitors on Monday for AFC’s fourth game in ten days.
Only an away defeat to Stafford Town is a blot on Hinckley’s copybook so far, four wins from five giving them a good platform for the season ahead.
Fellow Leicestershire outfit Ashby, recently transferred from the East Midlands Counties League, have had a solid start to life in the Midland League since their opening day 5-1 defeat at Paget.
Since then, they have drawn at Chelmsley before home wins over Cadbury Athletic and Rocester which have lifted them up to mid table in the early season standings.
Benn Minshull, who spent a brief spell with Hinckley last season, has scored three of their six goals so far while they, like Hinckley, have also kept two consecutive clean sheets.
